                 ~Sea of Pink~

Cute, bright, small clump forming plant with narrow green leaves with a tufted appearance.

Bloom: Bright pink, densely blooming in early spring.  Will repeat later (lighter) if deadheaded after bloom.  Sporadic flowers until fall.

Habit: 2-3" tall x  4-6" in 1-2 years with reasonable care.   Spreads slowly and will root down and continue to spread.

Site:  Full sun, well drained soils.

Spreading rate:  Slow to moderate.

Uses: Low habit is useful in borders and in rock gardens.  Can be used in containers as well.

Fertilizing: Feed in early spring and again lightly in early fall.  Use a balanced fertilizer, preferably one containing a slow release nitrogen source.  Always follow the manufacturer's label recommendations when making any applications of fertilizer.  Be sure to rinse fertilizer off of foliage.

Watering:  Regular summer water should be provided the first couple of years to ensure good plant establishment and to promote maximum growth.  After that, water as needed.

Pruning:  Light trimming can be done at any time.   Centers of large plants may die out over time, remove dead portion and it should  refill.

Foot traffic:  Not recommended for foot traffic.

Hardiness:  0° to 10° F.
