~Lithodora 'Grace Ward'~
A truly great classic ground cover. Forms a low spreading mat with terrific bloom. Lovely as a small scale groundcover or rock garden plant, but also does well in mass plantings. Attracts hummingbirds. Mulch in cool winter areas.
Bloom: Vivid blue from May to September. Prolific! Habit: 6-12" tall and 36" wide in 1-2 years with reasonable care. Exposure: Sun to part shade. Site: Plant in humus rich, lime free, very well drained soil. Spreading rate: Medium. Uses: Use in mass planting in sunny locations. Excellent for alongside curbs -has great curb appeal. Fertilizing: Feed in early spring and again lightly in early fall. Use a balanced fertilizer, preferably one containing a slow release nitrogen source. Always follow the manufacturer's label recommendations when making any applications of fertilizer. Be sure to rinse fertilizer off of foliage.
