        ~Golden Creeping Jenny~

Forms a carpet of small, roundish chartreuse colored  leaves on trailing stems.  A nice bright ground cover, works extremely well in hanging baskets and containers because it cascades well.  Doesn't do well in the full sun.

Bloom: Yellow cup shaped flowers bloom from May to September.

Habit:  2-6" tall and 24" wide.  A nice bright ground cover, works extremely well in hanging baskets, cascades well.

Exposure:  Shade.

Site:  Plant in rich moist soil.

Spreading rate:  Fast.  Spreads by above-ground runners.

Uses: A nice ground cover, works extremely well in hanging baskets and containers because it cascades well.  Does well in wet areas.  Care should be taken to keep this plant contained.   If let loose in mowed lawn areas it will continue to spread.   Simple to keep edged - can be pulled with bare hands.  Can be planted over bulbs.

Fertilizing:  Feed in early spring and again lightly in early fall.  Use a balanced fertilizer, preferably one containing a slow release nitrogen source.  Always follow the manufacturer's label recommendations when making any applications of fertilizer.  Be sure to rinse the fertilizer off the foliage.

Watering:  Regular summer water should be provided the first couple of years to ensure good plant establishment and to promote maximum growth.  After that, water as needed.

Pruning:  Can be pruned close to the ground in winter.  Light trimming can be done at any time.  Runners are easily removed if the plant spreads beyond its desired boundaries.

Foot traffic:  Tolerates light foot traffic.  Quickly recovers in worn areas.

Hardiness:  -30° to -20° F.
